Telemetry

View sensor data and device variables in the dashboard.

What is Telemetry?

Telemetry is the automatic collection of sensor data from your devices. Your devices push readings at regular intervals, and the dashboard stores and displays this data for real-time monitoring and historical analysis.

Viewing Telemetry

To access telemetry data:

  1. Go to Monitoring in the sidebar
  2. Click Telemetry
  3. Select a device to view its data
  4. Choose variables to display on the chart

You can also see real-time telemetry in the Variables section of any device's control panel.

The Telemetry Dashboard

The telemetry page provides several views for analyzing your data:

Line Charts

Track values over time. See how temperature, humidity, or other readings change throughout the day.

Current Values

Large displays showing the most recent reading for each variable, updated in real-time.

Min/Max/Average

See statistical summaries for any time period. Identify peaks and trends at a glance.

Multi-Variable View

Compare multiple variables on the same chart. See correlations between sensors.

Time Range Selection

Use the time range picker to view different periods:

Common Variables

How long telemetry data is stored depends on your plan:

Exporting Data

Export telemetry data for external analysis:

  1. Select the device and variables you want
  2. Choose the time range
  3. Click Export
  4. Download as CSV or JSON

Custom Dashboards

Create custom dashboard widgets to visualize telemetry:

  • Add gauge widgets for at-a-glance monitoring
  • Create line charts for trend analysis
  • Build metric cards with current values
  • Combine data from multiple devices on one dashboard
